I have always had a passion for exercise, health and helping others. I spent many years focused on cardio based exercise~spin classes, running, and Zumba. It was in my early 40s that I realized my body was changing and had heard that as I approached perimenopause that weight gain and belly fat was inevitable. My love of learning lead my research to understand what changes menopausal hormone shifts would bring. It is then that I began strength training and discovered a love of lifting weights and feeling strong and empowered. I competed in the figure division of bodybuilding for 7 years and earned my IFBB Pro status. During that time, I became certified as a personal trainer and nutrition coach and started training clients. I have spent the last 5 years focusing my education specifically around women in menopause and how I can support my clients with safe and effective strength training, nutrition, recovery and longevity.
